I was thinking about how snakes slough off their skins in the process of growth in this work.

The “Eye Fountains” were made by casting a model of my eye in brass, soldering a thin piece of copper pipe to the opening where a tear duct would be, inserting a plastic or glass eye in the eye socket, covering the brass with wax and connecting the copper pipe to an I.V. bag filled with water. I was thinking of dolls that cry and weeping religious icons.
